Who we are

The Camerata Orchestra  based in the Brussels area between Uccle and Rho-Saint-Genèse, is a musical ensemble led by a virtuoso pianist and promising conductor: Andrei Marta. He’s deeply involved in the day-to-day running of the orchestra and helps each musician measure their artistic progress and find pleasure in sharing their passion with others, both during rehearsal and concerts.

Camerata consists of passionate and talented amateur musicians aged between 13 and 85. The youngest artists are driven by the fire of their ambitions, while the most experienced musicians have the wisdom of their mastery. The baton of our conductor leads the ensemble to the harmony of a beautiful symphony orchestra.

The orchestra gives several concerts a year and invites renowned musicians to perform as soloists on these occasions.

The ensemble has also had the opportunity and pleasure of performing abroad, in Kenton (Great Britain), Maastricht (the Netherlands), Copenhagen (Denmark), and Saint-Maximin (France).

To sum up Camerata in a few words:

Our objective: learn and improve ourselves in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, and value our cultural and musical heritage.

Our philosophy: we dream of an orchestra that breaks down barriers, so that Music – classical or whatever its genre – becomes a shared adventure, open to all listeners.
